Privacy Policy
Foxworth Consulting Ltd. — How We Handle Your Information
Last updated: October 15, 2026
We respect your privacy and handle your personal information with the same rigor we bring to our consulting engagements. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. It's written in plain language because dense legalese benefits no one.
1. Information You Provide Through Forms
We collect personal information when you voluntarily submit it through forms on our website. The specific data depends on the form:
- Contact form submissions: name, company name, email address, phone number, approximate annual revenue range, service interest, and your message describing your banking situation
- Newsletter subscriptions: email address only
- Workshop registrations: name, company, email address, and dietary restrictions (for catering purposes)
How we use this information: To respond to your inquiries, scope potential engagements, send requested communications, and coordinate workshop logistics. We do not use form submissions for unsolicited marketing unless you have explicitly opted in to our newsletter.
Retention: Contact form data is retained for 24 months after the last interaction. Newsletter subscriptions remain active until you unsubscribe. Workshop registration data is retained for 12 months after the event.
Legal basis: Consent. You submitted the form voluntarily.
2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use a limited number of cookies. Here is exactly what they are and what they do:
- Essential cookies: Session management and your cookie consent preference. These are always active because the site cannot function properly without them.
- Analytics cookies: Aggregate site usage statistics — page views, time on page, device type. We use privacy-respecting analytics. No individual user tracking. No fingerprinting.
- Marketing cookies: None. We do not use retargeting pixels, third-party advertising cookies, or tracking scripts from social media platforms.
Cookie duration: Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Analytics cookies expire after 30 days. Your consent preference cookie expires after 365 days.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings at any time. Declining non-essential cookies will disable analytics tracking but will not affect your ability to browse the site or use our contact forms.
3. Analytics and Site Performance Data
We collect anonymized, aggregate data about how visitors use our site. No personally identifiable information is included in our analytics.
The data we collect includes:
- Pages visited and navigation paths
- Referring URLs (how you found us)
- Browser type and version
- Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Approximate geographic region (province/state level — not precise location)
Purpose: Improve site content, identify pages that need updating, and understand which resources are most useful to visitors. We do not sell, share, or monetize this data.
4. Information We Receive During Engagements
Client engagement data — including financial statements, banking agreements, fee schedules, covenant documents, and other commercially sensitive materials — is governed by the confidentiality provisions in our letter of engagement, not by this privacy policy.
Key protections for engagement data:
- All engagement data is stored in encrypted, access-controlled systems
- Access is limited to the specific team members assigned to your engagement
- We never share client engagement data with third parties — including banks, other clients, or industry groups — without explicit written authorization from you
- When we use anonymized, aggregated data for benchmarking purposes, it is stripped of all identifying details before inclusion in any comparative analysis
5. How We Share Information
The short version: we don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
The specific circumstances under which your information may be shared:
- Service providers: We use a small number of service providers to operate — an email platform for newsletter delivery, cloud hosting for the website, and accounting software for invoicing. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or regulatory request. We will notify you if legally permitted to do so.
- Financial institutions: We do not share your information with banks, credit unions, or any financial institution. Our advisory independence depends on this separation.
6. Your Rights
You have control over your personal information. Specifically:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction: Request updates to inaccurate or outdated data
- Deletion: Request removal of your data, subject to legal retention requirements (we'll explain any limitations clearly)
- Withdraw consent: Unsubscribe from our newsletter or other communications at any time — every email includes an unsubscribe link
- Data portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used format
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@fxwrthcnsltng.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We respond to all privacy requests within 10 business days.
7. Data Security
We take data security seriously. Our measures include:
- TLS encryption on all web traffic (the padlock in your browser's address bar)
- Encrypted storage for all client and prospect data, both at rest and in transit
- Access controls limiting data access to team members who need it for their specific role
- Annual security review of all systems, procedures, and third-party service providers
- Secure disposal of client documents when retention periods expire
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected individuals promptly and take immediate corrective action.
8. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page when our practices change. Material changes — meaning changes that affect how we collect, use, or share your data — will be communicated via email to active clients and newsletter subscribers before the changes take effect.
The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
